Almost perfect but there are significant imperfections

Bought this bag for an upcoming trip to Europe. I wanted something small and stylish but with many features that are very difficult to find in a backpack. I bought this bag as well as another from Timbuk2, I will compare them and decide which one to keep. I will update my review with my final verdict! Here are my first thoughts: PROS: - nice bag and just the right size. Big enough to have all the features I was looking for and plenty of space, but small enough not to overwhelm my small frame. Sacred Security Features. They weren't kidding. You must be a very persistent thief to steal from this bag. This is a real fortress. Of course, theoretically, they can steal your whole bag. There's not really anything to attach it to you other than the straps, but I guess that's just paranoia. It fits a lot more than it looks. I easily stash my 13 inch laptop, tablet with case, Kindle Paperwhite, noise canceling earphones, waterproof camera, wallet, socks, eye mask and laptop charger and I have enough space. My 32 oz water bottle also fits perfectly in the side pocket. - She has a luggage strap! It's rare but such a great feature. I don't think it's that bad. My main complaint is that you can't close the main compartment with one hand and you'll have a hard time zipping it up without putting it on the floor. Security, but annoying if you want to reach something while standing. - Straps are too long. I'm 5ft 4", pretty average, but felt that even in the shortest position, the straps were a bit longer than I would have liked. And unfortunately, they seem to weaken quite easily. I tested this by walking my dog around with a full load and after 10 minutes one of the straps started to loosen. So it's a bummer. However, the padding on the straps is great and they didn't dig into my bony shoulders at all. Price. This bag isn't cheap, but it's well made and I don't think it's necessarily overpriced for all of its features. However, some of the security features are redundant. Overall, I haven't decided yet if I'll keep it to myself. It has many advantages, but my main problem is the straps. If the straps were a little more adjustable and held up better I would be a lot happier.
