Too bad it is not longer / higher, so it could be used as a replacement for the post
My cats are not interested. But overall very easy to assemble, seems sturdy enough for a small cat, not big because they can pick it up causing it to tip over as it's not weighted, but in theory it's a good idea. Too bad it's not longer/taller so I might use it as a stand replacement on a vertical stand. only 15"
