Review on πŸͺ’ Merkur Adjustable Futur Safety Razor in Brushed Chrome Finish, MK-700002 by Becky Chopra

Revainrating 4 out of 5

My fault for the bad shave. Razor is fine.

I didn't expect this razor to cut my whole face. Tried in 6 and 1. No difference. He tore a quarter-sized piece of skin from my face. Shave strictly smooth to wet. I'll try again when my face has healed but I don't like it at the moment. I just don't get the result from this much touted razor. Used a lightly worn spring blade. To finish the shave I used the same blade in my Edwin Jagger razor and it worked perfectly. Not a good experience with Futur. Darian Paganelli UPDATE. I took another look at the razor and blade. I seem to have installed the knife WRONG. One side of the razor blade was at a different level than the other side. I found that when installing the blade in the razor you need to set the dial to 3 and up. Install the blade, snap the top of the razor until it clicks into place. Then set the razor to your desired level of aggressiveness from 1 to 7. If the tip is not adjusted properly, the blade will stand at a slight diagonal angle and cut into your face. like it was with me. MY FAULT is that I didn't pay attention to install the blade properly. I will try to shave my face after it heals from the cuts I sustained. My apologies to Mercur for poorly describing their Futur razor and to Revain for misjudging a wonderful product. Darian Paganelli
