ADVANTAGES: supple leather, lots of adjustment options, perfect fit for a donkey DISADVANTAGES: slightly narrower straps than average. I will try to add photos to this review later. I appreciate the adjustable nose and throat straps - the nose strap in particular is extremely adjustable, with more than enough extra strap material folded in half. Same game in the throat group would be absolutely great but as it stands it's perfect for my little donkey gelding. I've tried every halter I could find described as "small" and "donkey" but they were either too small or too big/fit poorly. Having a well fitting halter is very important when previously ground training "wild" donkeys and this one works for me! I also love high-quality oiled leather. Other leather halters in this price range (I got about thirteen bucks for this one) are made of sturdy, cardboard-like leather that won't be softened by soap or oil. The straps on this halter would be considered a bit flimsy by some, but for my purposes a thinner strap is just what I need. Will (and will) buy again!
