What a great product! :) My cable line starts in a box on Main Street in my complex, goes through three of my neighbors' basements, and finally emerges in my own basement. Between TVs, computers and streaming devices I am using six coaxial outputs and the signal started to degrade. The cable company was here last week to fix the problem and they couldn't find a solution. I noticed a million cables running through splitters and decided to try this unit with an active amplifier. Preferably. Solution. Is always! Okay, maybe NEVER, but the amp makes a noticeable difference in my picture quality, so hooray! As a bonus, it's also easy to install - the only difficult part for me was figuring out how to power the unit when there aren't any outlets nearby. After taking care of this issue, I spent about five minutes screwing together the ground wire, wires, input wire and power line (I recommend this version of the product as it comes with a special coaxial cable specially designed for the power supply is being used and is not transmitting the signal ).
