This is by far the easiest and most durable phone tripod mount I have ever used and I have used it many times. On others, the plastic feels brittle and breaks easily due to the spring-loaded mechanism holding the phone. The other problem is that if you have a big phone (in my case an iPhone 7 Plus with a thin case) it looks like it's about to break, the phone doesn't fit very well, the clips are flat and the die whole perspective is just intimidating. This adapter is much stronger and has an easy to turn screw mechanism. The clamping parts are countersunk and fit very well in a typical case, the screw allows for much larger devices (a bit larger than my phone but I don't have to strain to mount it) and it's just solid. I use them to record video podcasts and I have two of these for work. I definitely recommend them if you use a tripod or similar device to mount your phone for photos or videos. Glad I found this!
