Update - 7/28/2021 -- This thing died yesterday. In the email he chose to reboot, but I'm not sure if he ever exited the BIOS into the Windows boot process. I tried booting different hard drives and USB sticks - no joy. I changed the memory sticks - no joy. It just sits there at the end of the BIOS boot cycle. Updated 09/11/20. The issue I reported in March was not a BIOS issue. The SSD drive that came with the device kept disconnecting from the computer. After trying a few other M.2 drives in it, I found that the drive connector was the real culprit. I had a Samsung 970 1TB (2.5" format) drive that I plugged into an available SATA port. Reconfigured to boot from that drive and it's been working fine ever since. Yes, I could go back to Kingdale in Hong Kong, but I don't want the hassle. It works great with a Samsung SSD. Update 3/20/20 - If you have a USB stick or SD chip in an adapter or an external drive connected via USB, the BIOS forgets which drive is bootable and wants to boot from one of the USB drives. Kingdel uses the AMI BIOS, but I didn't find any other mention of this issue. This is in fact a laptop motherboard in an aluminum case with a couple of interface cards for connections. I liked this one as it has a VGA port and I didn't have to upgrade the monitor. It's in my workshop and works perfectly. I had to wait for it to be built, tested and shipped from Hong Kong but Kingdel kept me informed of every step and it arrived on time. They also included the windows key in their last email just in case I had any problems with windows. It starts with the Kingdel user, but you only need to add yourself as an administrator. You can then delete the Kingdel user. I could add another hard drive and memory later if needed, but so far so good. Only one flaw, hence a star deduction. There is absolutely no documentation for it, no user guide, manual or even a getting started guide. Not in the box, not on the Kingdel website. While this is essentially a plug and play machine, a true Windows novice will likely need a guide to get started.
