The legs are great they move when you want but stay where you put them. I can mount my Canon SX30 IS on top and my legs don't seem to have a problem with it. The phone clip is VERY strong, the phone will not fall out. I like that there is a quick release button for the nozzle head. With all of this, the biggest downside, and it's really annoying, is that the ball head that connects the head to the legs is weaker than I'd like. I mean, I've accidentally pulled the socket out of the ball so many times trying to undo the clip to get my phone out. It snaps right back up, so it's not exactly broken, but it takes an effort to remember to check that the swivel is tight. It also causes problems holding Canon unless the head is pointed straight up and down. All in all, for less than $20, this is a great replacement for the Joby GorillaPod hybrid, which costs a whopping $40.
