This is a great watch once you set it up. The documentation isn't the best. I've had this for about 8 months and it deserves a review. I use it in the bedroom at night. There's no bright light to keep you awake. no noise No cable. The battery still works. And a great price for an atomic clock. There is a backlight. You press the button bar at the top and the clock flashes for about 5 seconds - enough time to decide whether you want to go back to sleep or wake up. An item needs improvement. setup documentation. It's confusing, as are the buttons on the back. I would suggest the following. Read the documentation. Read the section on automatic channel search carefully. You really only need to set two things: 1) whether you want a 12-hour or 24-hour display format, and 2) the time zone. Install a clock next to a window. On the first night, around midnight, he picked up the signal from the atomic clock and set the time himself. The clock automatically switches to daylight saving time. Don't try to manually set the time and other settings unless you want to get frustrated. Despite my complaints, the watch deserves 5 stars overall.
