This LED under cabinet light bar illuminates the worktop beneath my kitchen cabinets with a warm, very inviting light. I connected a light strip to an outlet switch (about $8) you can see in the picture on the outlet so I can turn it on and off instead of having to plug and unplug it every time I use the light want to use. I either turn on the under-cabinet lights along with the overhead lights in the kitchen when we're cooking or entertaining, or in the evenings when we're watching TV in the living room next to the kitchen, I just turn on the under-cabinet lights using an LED light as a pass-through light - just enough light to switch to see as we walk through the kitchen, but not much light to create annoying glare when we're watching TV in the next room.
