Review on πŸŽ’ Bixbee Little Funtastical Medium Backpack: Perfect for Active Kids! by Katie Jefferson

Really check the sizes

Earlier this school year I bought 2 Bixbee backpacks - 1 for my 3 year old in Kindergarten and 1 for my 6 year old 1st grade student. This fantastic pink medium sized backpack was designed for my 6 year old girl. Although she loves the design and the multiple pockets, we found them a bit small for her. She has a 1 inch three ring binder that comes home every day, a lunch bag, a zip hoodie and a water bottle. Water bottle fits in side pocket - great! After putting the folder in my backpack, I had to move her lunch bag (a matching Bixbee bag) to the side, and I had to fold her sweater and wrap an elastic around it to keep it small. It works out? Yes. It's perfect? Uh, not really. I think Big might be the best option for us as she at least had a little extra room if she's bringing a project home or needs spare clothes. But the horizontal design makes up for the lack of space. My child likes it much better and she no longer squats around with her backpack. The 3 year old was also given an average backpack. He brings home the same folder every day, but he has to carry a diaper, a blanket, a girlfriend for the rest, and sometimes spare clothes. On Mondays and Fridays we have to strap his lunch bag (again, the same as Bixbee's) to the front of the backpack because there's no space inside. Again, does it work? Yes. Again, is this perfect? Not really. He really likes the design and the horizontal design is great, so we'll only work on the cons. Do we buy again? Possibly, but I think we'll go for the big one this time and see if it suits our needs.

Pros
  • Well built
Cons
  • Almost everything is ok
