I love it when a plan comes together! With this surface I can use my equipment on my antique dining room table and be confident I will do no harm. With this, I have been able to be super precise in cutting 100% cotton to build masks- I will be finished with the cutting and will ship the squares to my sis in Minneapolis so she can assemble the masks.I actually plan on using a Dahle Rotary cutter which I will place on the mat; I can line up the cut squares on the mat and ensure precision. With the 24x36 size it was expensive, but absolutely worth it. Should the Dahle cutter not like cutting fabric I have electric fabric shears and in a pinch could use a stainless straight edge and an exact. I am delighted with my choice and anticipate you, gentle reader, will feel the same.
