Purchased size (small 4-6) for my almost 4 year old daughter. She is 41 inches tall, petite. It suits her PERFECTLY. All I have to say is PLEASE BUY ONE SIZE UP. Size 2-4 babies will not fit a child over 2 years old. Sizes get small when they doubt they get bigger. The skirt is also separate and looks good. Very happy with how it looks and feels on her. I personally think if your child is over 43 inches tall buy a 6-8 because my daughter is 41 and 4-6 fits her just right.
