Review on ๐ŸŠ Effortlessly Strip Paint & Varnish with Sunnyside Corporation 68532 Hi-Speed Ready-Strip Citrus, Quart Trigger Spray! by Russell Robertson

Works with paint, wall cleaners and consumables

Update 2: Used the stripper again on another vintage handheld meter. The paint wrinkled and started peeling within the first 10 minutes. A spatula, a brush with plastic bristles and a dish sponge are enough to get at the shiny metal. Still happy with the results! First review: I bought a stripper to remove the original paint from a Colombian vise I am restoring. After reading some negative reviews I decided to coat the painted parts as thick as possible and let the thinner sit for at least 24 hours. I eagerly tried to remove some of the color about 25 minutes after application - it worked great. wrote this review right after this attempt. It's late in the evening so I'll have to remove the paint tomorrow anyway. If I had known it would work so quickly and so well, I could have started a little sooner and my vise was already down to bare metal! It should be noted that the vise was soaked in 5% vinegar for 48 hours. adhesion to the paint is weakened. It didn't seem like it before applying the wash, but it's possible. I'll update the review tomorrow when I start removing the paint and post more pics of the results. At the moment I think so :) Update: 24 hours later 95% of the paint was just scraped off into dry chips. The rest was easily removed with a wire brush. In this case I am very happy with the result. I will leave the container with this material for future restoration projects. I prefer this method over wire brushes only because of the dust the brushes create - the old paint is more likely to contain lead. Thank you for reading.
