The entire frame/stand is made of very light aluminium, maybe magnesium or zinc. In any case, it is light and durable metal. But the included mouse pad is made out of cheap, flimsy plastic. It mounts with a single screw on the side of a leg that has a hole drilled in it. I want it to be attached with a clamp that allows for multiple points of contact or something like that because: 1) it rotates relatively easily no matter how tight you attach it, 2) it doesn't just flex at the joint/attachment, it flexes at the thin plastic sheet itself will flex and deform under a relatively heavy hand. It's also just hard plastic and too small to put a mouse pad on so the mouse slides around everywhere unless it's 99% balanced, so it's kind of a bummer. The rest is very good. worth $65? I'm not sure about that.
