I won't knock because I don't know what a duvet is.

So a bit disappointed with the feedback on this. People only show the cover over the existing comforter, not the cover itself. Not knowing what a comforter is, I assumed it was a finished comforter. The blanket is worn over your existing blanket. It is not a comforter in and of itself. Don't get confused like I was with these pictures people have posted. I returned as it wasn't what I wanted. The material itself feels comfortable. Not as soft as my existing blanket but maybe it's the material you wash it with and it gets softer. In any case, all I'm saying is that this is a cover, not a blanket per se.
