They make wearing my AirPods much more comfortable! After about half an hour without the cases, my ears start to hurt because the AirPods are pressed against the skin. They offer enough cushioning to keep me comfortable without feeling bulky. The package came with 2 pairs of each size, small and large (4 pairs total) so I fit well and have an extra pair in case one gets lost. When I take out my AirPods they usually stick to my ear so I have to take them out separately lol! This is just a minor inconvenience. If anything, it makes me feel more secure because my AirPods won't fall out! The included small key case doesn't look very secure. I would be afraid they would fall out. Instead, I use a small zippered bag to store them. They don't seem to affect the sound quality much. There's a subtle difference between using AirPods and using them as is. It doesn't bother me and I got used to it very quickly. In my opinion, this does not affect the sound quality in any way. It's just a subtle tonal shift.
