My work machine is a 2017 16" MBP and I installed this stand as instructed. The first few times I enjoyed the comfort of having the monitor at eye level. When open. However, I got over it I had issues with my balance for the first week. When I'm working from home I'm constantly going from docked to undocked, so I open and close the lid as needed. I encountered issues with the lid closed and the stand up when i opened the lid the laptop started tipping over, no matter what i did, closing the stand and lid and opening them again in different orders, i couldn't use the stand and laptop monitor at the same time. I was finally able to get it working after reinstalling the stand but only sporadically, for the price I expect the stand to last forever .
