Review on Watson Coyote Lumbar Chest with Enhanced Safety Features by Eric Nelso

So far I like it very much.

Great bag so far - very durable. I've been using it for about 3 months so far. Not as flashy as my Malaga, but that's okay as I'm not a green beret or anything. This bag replaces my 3 year old Malaga. I just wanted to try something different. The side pockets are very spacious and can hold many things - water bottles, travel coffee mugs and so on. I have a Kleen Canteen with various other little things on one side and a sunglass case and a Maxpedition Cocoon Bag with extra space on the other side. The main pocket is very roomy, 12 packs and a bottle of wine plus jacket fit in well again leaving some space. I made some additional velcro mods for my backpack - I used Shoe-Goo and attached a piece to the elastic pocket in the main compartment and also to the elastic pocket on the inside of the front administration pocket. That made a big difference because now the stuff I wear there stays there with no problem. I've also added soft side velcro straps to the side pockets, but that's just so I can add morale patches. As others have noted, the pen holders are a bit short and the design of this compartment could have been redesigned a bit. I have a small basic first aid kit in a flap bag with a flap at the bottom of the bag. I added two extra pouches to the kit, one was a Haz4 koala pouch that I keep my Nightcore EA41 flashlight in and a mini MSM admin pouch, it's really a very handy and practical attachment pouch, mine includes a few Cards, some cash, bluetooth headset and the like. This bag is also by far the most comfortable sling I have ever carried, loaded or not. Malaga unloading was no fun. It's bearable. If in doubt, do it - this is a great crossbody bag!

Pros
  • Hard-wearing workmanship
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for seniors
