Bought for use outside of a brick faced house and placed the extension as close inside as possible. It showed a reading of 56dMm but still lost connection after a few days so I can't recommend it for use outside of a wall. However, the company responded to my emails and said they needed at least the 80 percent signal I thought I had. I was offered a refund which I accepted. The camera works surprisingly well when placed indoors and looking out the window - 1st photo. I turned infrared off to avoid reflections and it still captured an amazing amount of detail. Two doors down there is a street lamp and the battery operated landscape lighting shown in the photo. Other brands I tried didn't come into the dark - 2nd photo. It cannot distinguish between people, headlights, cars and trucks. It is best to use it for 24 hour recording. I appreciate Bluram's response to my concerns.
