This coat even has a button that can hold her night safety light (she doesn't like it around her neck). This is an adorable coat. The little one goes very well with my 8lb Shorky. Neck 10 inches, chest 15 inches, length 15 inches. I had her wear it during her potty break when the temperature was 20 degrees, I wanted to see if it was really keeping her warm. I could tell by 2 things: 1. Although she fumbled and refused to walk around in it, she was able to stay out much longer and she wasn't shaking (she has very fine short hair) and 2. When I took it off her, I put my hand under her belly between her coat and her side to loosen the strap, and my hand was very nice and warm. Fleece retains body heat well. The hood doesn't fit, so it's best to fold it up and fasten it at the back of your neck to provide some wind protection. I hope to keep it if I can get her used to it. I would definitely recommend this. One more thing, I prefer not to use elastic bands to hold the back of the coat because her very long thin body needs the strips to close on either side of her girly parts and I know she will pee on them . If you have a man, you don't have to worry. If your wife is a bit wider, you should be safe too.
