Before using this adapter set I checked the voltage on my o-scope. There was low amplitude switching noise on the voltage output, but it seemed to work fine. The original Canon adapter was always sold out, so I bought this one (for a lot less money)! So far everything is working fine. (Updated July 2014) I set up the camera for astrophotography and now it doesn't work. I opened up the PSU and found a swollen capacitor and a few dead components. From the remaining parts I built my own transformer power supply. I'm only running 1 amp so it's fine as long as the camera body is connected to the telescope and RFI is no longer an issue. If you want to use autofocus lenses you need at least 2 amps.
