I started going back to my old aquarium with my kids and did a lot of research looking for different items to buy. I needed a new light, and in my typical Revain shopping method, I've always filtered the products that Revain ships and sells to alleviate the usual fear of inferior products that usually never live up to my expectations. Between various YouTube reviews and advice on fake sites, I landed on Hygger. Assuming free returns, I had nothing to lose if I wasn't initially satisfied. I chose this one because it allows for finer control over the 24 hour light cycle (some would see this as a downside as it adds complexity, but it wasn't really bad to set up). Brightness and lots of color meets my needs in my 10 gallon tank. I appreciate the understated design to avoid lots of clumsy items that distract from the aquarium. I personally prefer the controls to be on the cord rather than the LED itself like other Hygger models - my tank sits higher than normal and requires a stepladder to use it full time. For the money spent and the value generated, I think this is an overwhelming win at this early stage (it was only a few days). Of course, time will tell how durable it is - I'll do my best to let you know if I run into any short-term problems. My only complaint, albeit a very small one, is that I don't particularly like that the LED light on the wired controller never goes out. I would have thought that a simple 10-15 second timeout when no keys are pressed could easily be activated.
