There's no denying that this affordable mic is modeled after the Shure SM57. It's very similar in appearance, slightly lighter, but seems quite strong. I have an old SM57 that I've been using for years to record in front of a Fender Princeton amp so I thought let's compare them. I was expecting a noticeable difference in sound quality, but surprisingly this Behringer mic sounds very similar to my old '57. Would I take it to a gig? Probably no. I know the Shure SM57 is practically bulletproof and mine has taken quite a bit of abuse and still works great. But for home recording or rehearsal purposes I would have no problem using this mic. Comes with hard plastic carrying case and microphone clip.
