Overall it was a good purchase. I've washed it once and used it for less than a week, so I can't comment on durability yet. The fabric is 100% cotton with a 400 thread count, which offers significant weight while maintaining some breathability. Based on the pictures I thought the fabric might have some texture; it is not. It's just a printed pattern. I rated it 4 stars for softness because although it's soft for the weight of the fabric, if softness is your top priority it will be crispier than you'd like. It's 100% cotton so it doesn't wrinkle at all. I found that straightening the fabric once it came out of the dryer helped minimize wrinkles, but you would have to iron to get them out. My bed is full, the comforter is only one queen, so there are a lot of drops. If you have a queen bed there will be no fall like in my photo. I have read some reviews complaining about the quality of the corner ties and yes they are very light and cannot be described as fabric. I expect they will disintegrate or otherwise fail within a few washes. It requires very little sewing knowledge—a needle, thread, and a few ribbons or strips of fabric—to replace when they do. Annoying but not annoying, especially for the price. The actual colors weren't quite what I expected. My color scheme is grey/blue/white and I like my colors to have a blue tint; no green undertone. These grays and light blues seem more aquamarine to me and I don't like it. The gray used on the back of the cover is also darker than I expected and doesn't really match the gray of the front. However, it is the same color as my sheets, so this is not a problem for me. If you like to drop the top of your bedding, I think it will look weird due to the mismatch. Dark blue is not the same as dark blue; I really like the shade but it will be difficult to find a set of sheets in this color. The zipper is better than the button closures I've had on other duvet covers. Again, I've read complaints about zippers failing and this is definitely a risk. But even if the zipper doesn't work I think you could still use the case and it wouldn't be too obvious. I've seen pillowcases called both pillowcases and pillowcases. It's an odd hybrid, closer to a pillowcase. There is a small "envelope" at the opening of about 3 inches to stuff the pillow as you would expect from a fake. However, because it's so short and there aren't any buttons or other ways to close the opening, it can easily look messy. Again, this is not a problem for me, but it can become an obstacle for you. Overall I am satisfied with this set.
