I thought this was a great looking carry on and got compliments on it. It is also ideal for weekend getaways. It's small, so think of it like a big backpack. It was fine for a three and a half day flight, but that was about all he could take. I wore it as a backpack at the airport which I never did with luggage and it worked great. I confess I bought it as a replacement for my wheeled carry-on and miss having wheels with my carry-on. Using this with a backpack as a personal item would be impractical. Overall I'm happy with it and glad I got it. I will be looking for something bigger and with wheels for long trips.
