Review on Nutritious Grain-Free Dog Food: Halo Dry Dog Food with Turkey Liver & Duck - High Protein Formula by Jen Aus

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Tried about 10 brands last year - we're sticking with it!

I spent a small fortune to find the right model for our mini schnauzer. She has a sensitive stomach and actually cannot eat sweet potatoes! (It took us a while to figure this out!) And sweet potatoes are an ingredient that's commonly found in grain-free dog food. After her (second) stomach surgery, she lost so much weight that we were actually making her eat more than we should have been before we knew it. Fat dog! So we've been eating this food for a little over two months and she's back to her healthy weight. (No pun intended!) She loves it and seems to be doing really well on this dog food, so I think we've finally settled in. Also, I've noticed that she doesn't itch as much as she used to. (Always!) I add some probiotics to each meal, which may or may not be necessary, but the vet said he liked the idea, so I'll just keep going. Bottom line, less itching. healthy weight. High in fiber. Very good ingredients (made in the USA - very important to me!) and she loves it.
