Good alternative to personal radios

All officers in my workplace are required to wear radio headsets. Instead of an earphone that detaches from the microphone, I opted for a Kenwood earphone that plugs directly into the radio. Looks good but it takes a little longer to finish the service as it takes about an extra minute to get the wire through/under my uniform. The around-the-ear fit is good, but not great. For the price it's not even bad.
