I have been using Olympus Superzoom for a long time. After Olympus went broke, the new superzoom never came out. I've always had an Olympus for my superzooms. I tried Nikon and it sucked. There was just no quality. I've tried Canon and Nikon, but none of their cameras come close to the quality of the Olympus superzooms. I'm doing an 11 day backpacking trip and had to consider the weight. I leave my DSLR at home and take this camera. It's not that good, but it's good enough, and the weight and ease of use make it worth it if you're traveling light. I use for mt. Cycling and ordinary day trips. If I can handle the weight or I'm doing a specific photoshoot, I'll grab a DSLR and all the lenses. It has a tripod and I've taken photos in low light and at night with good results.
