Buttons on bib are detachable even hand wash

Buttons on bib are detachable (not fabric part but silicone). This is the second bib we have bought from this brand after liking the first (gift). The first one we had was almost 2 years old when one of the latches came loose from the silicone part. We got a second one to replace and the silicone came off in less than a couple of months. I love the style of the bib but when the buttons come undone it's not that comfortable. If he stays together, these bibs are worth it (we have another one that still works great).
