I've never been a fan of backpacks, although I've used them for diaper bags and school. I had trouble changing bags to transition from work to outing and motherhood. I chose this bag because of the different carrying options and also decided to purchase a separate strap long enough to carry the 4th crossbody option. The bag was fantastic. I carry a large purse, a duffel bag, a leather-bound A5 calendar, and a lunch bag in the main work compartment — and surprisingly, it's not as heavy as I thought. I was at a pediatrician's appointment and was able to stuff an adult sized spring jacket in so I didn't have to chase her either. The two zippered front pockets are perfect for hat and gloves, work badge, phone, cough drops, etc. This pocket is always with you. In the store I wear it on my shoulder or over my shoulder for easy access to the main compartment and wallet. When I go out with the kids I am completely hands free and have everything we need with me - nappies/tissues, water cups/bottles, snacks, maternity items, snacks etc. It was decided to carry one bag for work and one for walking . alone or with friends/husband, as well as a 3rd style bag for hiking with kids. I always know my wallet, keys, badges, etc. are in there - I just add or remove things that are necessary for what I'm doing - usually children's stuff. I'm hoping to get two more color options in this design just to be able to change it without changing what I love.
