Fleece inner was warm, worn 6 days a week in and around the New England winters - helped me stay warm while working outside and could breathe normally. The elastic fitted my face well, left a small red mark on my nose, but it might just be my body, no irritation or pain. Recommended for use in cold weather, it will be too hot in warm weather. Machine and dryer on normal, there were some paint stains on the white logo but nothing that would ruin other clothes. I bought two more in blue and gray, highly recommend.
