Less chunky than Vans or DC, less streamlined than Addias or Puma. They always look "clean" on my son and have no logos. Sure, they wear out quicker, but they're also $20, and I ALWAYS upgrade shoes as his foot grows anyway. They come in half sizes and I've found them to wear down just in time for his next size up (mostly the shoes peel off the white sole). They machine wash well and my son says they are comfortable!
