Review on JVC HAF10C Earbud Headphones with Protective Carrying Case - Enhanced Audio Experience by Malleswar Man

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best "cheap " set I've ever bought.

5 star rating based on total package value. Crazy price at $3. Based on my long experience with JVC "flats" headphones [great sound, good price], I was tempted to try them despite the price. The suitcase alone is worth the purchase. I was able to fit my much more expensive Yamaha headphones into my headphones. It's not a perfect fit and other larger earbuds are unlikely to fit, if at all. The sound is probably above average for other more expensive "cheap" headphones I've tried. The sound is at its best when pressed fully against my ear hole, but much more comfortable when just vibrating freely. I mainly use these headphones when I'm walking and/or listening to a conversation at the lowest volume I can hear. They are great for walking as I can still hear ambient noise like approaching cars, dogs etc for safety reasons. They also don't make the almost unbearable cable noise that motion/wind causes from my Yamaha, Skullcandy and other earbuds. While I usually use other brands when listening to music and not moving, these are still quite comfortable, sometimes I only use them for background music. You just don't get the same range, particularly the bass, without good in-ear or earbuds, or the seal you get with good in-earbuds. Pros: Inexpensive Well-designed case Little noise isolation [if you need to hear your surroundings] Sturdy earbuds Reasonable sound Comfortable enough to wear all day if loose on your ear. Cons: Negligible soundproofing when you need to drown out your co-workers, spouse, TV, plane, etc. I don't feel comfortable being pressed against my ear canal [not indoors]
