First of all, our daughter is only 1 year old, 5'6" and weighs 93 lbs, and 12 fits her waist, stomach length and plenty of room in her hips, butt and legs Perfect. She could probably even go down to a 10 for a slimmer fit, but she likes that they're a little roomier. Second, these pants are SUPER soft! She is madly in love with them and doesn't take them off even though it's 90 degrees here now 😊
