I am an artist and I bought this for a temporary exhibition where it was not possible to hang my paintings on the walls. The only problem was that they weren't the right size for my 16x20 canvases - not the fault of the product. Another reviewer said they worked with this size, but I found the top of the easels rested on the back of the stretched canvas (meaning it could get damaged). I was in a bind, so I bought a Bristol board, put it on the easels, and then put the pictures in front of the boards. So you can really use them on larger items with a little ingenuity. However, they are really better suited for small jobs or hard surface work. In terms of getting the job done they keep the details very well and we are not visible with the support of the paintings which was a plus for me. Assembly is easy, you just need to assemble many easels. You have to make sure the lip holding your work is level, but that's the only tricky part.
