Review on KALINCO 10x10FT/10x15FT Tent Tarp: Waterproof Camping Tarp Rain Fly, Picnic Mat, Hammock Tarp - Survival Shelter, Sunshade by Bradley Mutha

This tarp from Kalinco imitates a DD Hammocks tarp. If you do a Revain search for "DD Tarp," you'll find a $70 item with identical product specs, description, pictures, and packaging. WHAT SAVINGS you get with Kalinco! When I received the Kalinco it exceeded all expectations for SIZE and WEIGHT. I chose the 10x10ft version which weighed 1lb-13oz (tarpaulin only). It's hard to beat the weight in the $30-$70 price range for a 10x10 tarp, and it can even be folded into a bag with twine and stakes. Compared to my USMC tarp (approximately 90" x 80" and 2lb-2oz), the Kalinco is almost twice the size, much lighter and more compact. The Kalinco feels light in the hand and feels a lot lighter than it really is. I can't wait to get it on the field. Durability: I gave it 4 stars here because I haven't tested it in the field and it just can't be as durable as the US Marines issue. However, in normal use I don't see any problems (compared to military abuse and recycling in military supply systems).
