I bought three sets to hang on my porch for Christmas. I hung them today. First of all, I LOVE the little hooks at the top of each strand. What a great idea! They just hung these lights on our vinyl siding! The first box I opened had everything I needed, but it seemed like it was packed haphazardly. The wires were all tangled and took a long time to unwind, some of the strands twisted so naturally that it was an effort to separate them. The next two boxes seemed to be filled with some kind of logic. They were a bit tangled but came off easily. The lights are big and bright. They light up the entire porch really well and I love the colors. The remote didn't work at all, no big deal. I mean it didn't work when I stood next to the cable and pointed the remote at the cable. Still not much. I didn't buy any lights for the console. Another point of criticism is that I'm not entirely satisfied with the choice of animation. I like a nice slow soft subtle shimmer and that's really not an option. I like the dimming but hate that the light goes out completely and stays off for a few seconds during the dimming animation. All other variants of blinks and seizures cause "flickering," neither of which is perfect. I just resort to leaving them on all the time, which is frustrating. I still like the look of the lights and the ease of installation. I would buy them again.
