Not bad in general, but the scroll wheel slips. Here's how to fix it!

Generally a good mouse but with some limitations. First, the side buttons (especially the rear ones) are very easy to accidentally press while browsing. They move back and forth in the browser by default, which becomes very annoying very quickly. The second major caveat, actually more of a defect as I'm clearly not the only one with this issue, is that the scroll wheel's silicone coating is peeling away from the underlying plastic, causing the scroll wheel to slip, which is incredibly annoying. However, this problem is pretty easy to fix. Here's how: First, remove the screws under the large glide pads on the bottom of the mouse. After removing these screws, you can separate the top and bottom of the mouse with your fingernail or a flathead screwdriver near where you removed the screws. Then separate the two pieces completely by sliding the top half back and pulling up. If successful, completely remove the top of the mouse by unplugging the two cables from the right side of the lower circuit board. They are easily removed and pulled with a fingernail. Now carefully pull the scroll wheel out of the bottom of the case, being careful not to damage the "axes" on either side. Hold the USB cable exit point away from you and pull the scroll wheel up and to the right to remove it. Then remove the silicone rubber cover from it. I then wrapped the scroll wheel in several layers of duct tape/packing tape cut exactly to the width of the scroll wheel. This made the plastic scroll wheel thick enough so that the silicone coating no longer slipped. Assemble the mouse (make sure the scroll wheel is installed correctly - one side has a hex axle, the other has a round one), and voila. ! You have a scroll wheel that no longer slips!
