I hope I will never know if this outer case really protects my Samsung tablet from breakage. As with all other features, it's a swivel stand that locks into different positions when rotated. I liked the velcro to hold the tablet in different positions which feels very secure. The stand in the horizontal position is very stable, but in the vertical position it's so-so. If the vortex were centered, this disadvantage could be eliminated. The silicone outer shell pictured doesn't cover all sides of the case, which Otterbox does very well, but they don't offer dial and stand models, which is the real reason I bought this device. If the silicone case with integrated buttons deserved a significantly higher rating. Check out the Otterbox Defender Series for mobile phones for inspiration.
