My wife gave me this player. I didn't ask or imply that I needed a turntable. She saw it and thought I would like it. My family had one when I was a kid so I was familiar with the process of putting on a record. I assume that a person with no experience will have no trouble learning this machine. I doubted the sound quality of a player with a built-in speaker of this size. But to my pleasant surprise, it sounds fantastic and clear. I honestly love the quality. I was hooked from the first drop of the needle. This player spawned an interesting new hobby - finding and trying records. It's really more than just a music player, it becomes an experience in itself. You can probably say that for most players, but this one made it easy and sounded fantastic.
