Installing a new 3 piece LED downlight in place of a single bulb in my attic became problematic as the outlet was too close to the vertical support beam and the new light was slightly wider than the light bulb. So I had to move the socket so I had enough room to screw in the new light. Then I came across an ad for these flexible socket extenders that allowed me to point the shooting socket away from the beam and screw in a new light without beam interference, then lower the combo into place and unfold the LED lamp wings. around the support beam where I wanted. Turned it on and lit up my whole attic like a carnival parade! PERFECT! Thanks Revin
