Review on Oklyn Light Blocking Glasses Natural by Aaron Ethridge

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Stylish and functional

Small frame of reference. I work in the entertainment industry and I don't wear glasses at all. I stare at screens all day every day, edit with computer screens, direct with a giant television monitor a foot and a half from my face, and look through a camera's eyepiece when taking pictures. Although I'm fortunate not to need glasses, after a long day at work doing all of these tasks, I still experience eye strain. I've always heard how computer glasses protect your eyes, but I've never wanted to try it. I'm getting older and I've realized that I need to protect myself, that's why I'm here. What drew me to these Oklyn computer glasses was their style. It doesn't look or feel like regular glasses. I felt like I was wearing sunglasses but no glasses if you get my meaning. I have a huge head and if you wear a fitted baseball cap I'm a size 18. Yes big brain haha. These glasses fit me perfectly. I love the look of the see-through frames and for those who don't wear glasses it's nice that they hardly notice the frames when they're wearing them. The wood design on the sides is just a cool factor and boy does it get it right. They work? Yes / Yes! Just before you put them on you will notice a bluish tinge and to be honest the difference between them and taking them off was negligible to say the least. The real test came after working with a client all day. I didn't feel that tired while editing, I usually took a lot of breaks to regain my sight and wake up. My eyes didn't feel as strained as they did after a full day of editing posts, so I can only assume these glasses actually work. They are very light so sometimes I forgot they were on me, I only remembered when I went to the toilet and saw myself in the mirror haha. Overall I really think these things work, at least for me they work. I can't wait to try them on location when I'm in front of the camera or directing in production in front of a big screen. If I do I will definitely update this review. Take care of your eyes and look good too! These Oklyn glasses will not disappoint you.

Pros
  • 𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐖𝐄𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 & 𝐒𝐓𝐘𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐇 - Real bamboo wood with a thermoplastic frame has a lightweight but durable construction with spring loops that won't hold their shape for years. Look stylish at work and feel comfortable at home to minimize headaches and reduce eye fatigue.
Cons
  • Exorbitant piggy bank
