I bought these because they are dishwasher and microwave safe and BPA free. They are so cheap that I bought two sets. I use them for many things, but mostly I use them for food storage. I write on them with a marker and then I can just wash them off. I use Food Savers for freezer storage, but they don't work very well with liquids. I often keep leftover wine in it and freeze it for cooking. I also store homemade broth and soups. They won't crack or break in the freezer either. They all stack together so they take up much less space than other traditional storage containers. To me they are a much better choice than any other food storage container and I have tried them all. Update 9/2020 - I finally had to replace this set of bins. I kept about 10 of these, but the rest either got dirty (tomato sauce) or cracked when I dropped them. Overall, however, I am very happy with them and feel that they have far outlasted those bought in the supermarket.
