Fantastic monitor and camera

This is such a fantastic monitor and camera pair and I'm honestly blown away by both the quality and the features, especially given the very reasonable price. It's a cliché to say I'm sure, but when I compare monitors across generations I feel like I'm very lucky to be a parent now with all these super cool tech gadgets. Battery life has been pretty good so far, but I still instinctively plug it back in often. The range was great in and around our house. I was able to take the monitor outside to work in the yard, down to the basement for laundry etc. and the signal remained excellent. The automatic night vision is fantastic and I'd say the overall image sharpness is great - perfect for our needs. We haven't used the lullaby settings much, but there are a number of lullabies to choose from (8 or so?). I tethered the camera and attached it to the end of the SNOO we're using and I'm very happy with the result. It took me a second to figure out the VOX mode, which allows you to adjust the sensitivity of the monitor so that it turns on automatically when it senses a noise in the camera source (e.g. a baby crying). By default, VOX mode is disabled, so the monitor will continuously stream audio from the camera regardless of whether you turn the video on or off. However, when VOX mode is enabled, the monitor automatically enters a "sleep mode" in which it turns off the video and audio relays, but turns itself back on automatically as soon as a sound is loud enough to exceed the threshold. - High or low. These two VOX mode settings - High and Low - are self-explanatory, but to make things easier for parents, the "High" setting means the monitor will respond with "High Sensitivity" to any sound (meaning there's very little for the sensor to trigger) - low level). threshold in decibels); A low setting means the monitor will respond to "Low Sensitivity" instead (e.g. when the baby is actually crying openly). I have used the VOX setting as follows: 1) After putting the baby to bed, if the baby is still moving a little, I turn off the VOX mode so I can actively monitor his condition. 2) When he's calmed down a bit, or when he's passed out quite a bit while laying down, I set the VOX mode to high so I can track any early sleep disruptions for a while. 3) If I notice that the monitor will eventually turn itself back on automatically with false alarms, I set the VOX mode to Low to maximize the monitor's battery life (if it's wireless), but still get notifications when she needs me. I wish I could find the cameras listed individually so I can add more to the series that the monitor itself allows (up to 4). But at the time of this writing, it looks like you can only buy them together as a pair (monitor and camera). Overall, I would highly recommend this monitor and camera to any parent.
