I ordered a black tray because I liked the look of it and wanted to put some nice shampoo and soap dispensers on it next to my new bathroom. It was fine, but we kept seeing large black spots on our marble tiles. When I wiped the black tray, my rag was completely discolored! Black as can be! That explained the black spots. It was behind a rear window, and I really liked the look of it, so I sealed it with a few coats of acrylic spray sealer - even. Now it's nice and seems fine. Just take a look. I understand the description suggests letting the essential oils soak in it, but note the black color if left unsealed.
