We groom our dogs ourselves, and the "professional" scissors we've had for years just couldn't be sharpened. I bought these based on all the positive reviews and felt like I can't go wrong when the set is only $25. Both thinning scissors and regular scissors are very sharp and do a great job. Grooming takes a lot less time than it used to and therefore less stress for the dog - a win for everyone! Someone mentioned they didn't last 2 years but for the price so what?! They definitely got off to a great start. As they are packaged it is perfect. A small amount of oil "insulates" the blades and is easy to remove. I give credit to this manufacturer for the product and packaging, it is much more than you would expect for this price.
