I was excited to get this device to whiten my teeth at home, but unfortunately it wasn't enough for me. First of all I had trouble understanding how to use it, I read all the instructions in the base unit booklet and there was no mention of how to use it for whitening. Then I noticed that the whitening instructions were on the back of the whitening gel box. Oops slacker, I wasted my time and now I realize that this device is really geared more towards cleaning than whitening. I stained my teeth fairly easily, except the first pin didn't work and just rotated instead of squeezing out the gel. Then I put this big bulky mouthpiece in place and found that the mouthpiece is completely smooth, impossible to hold onto with your teeth. The instructions say: relax for a 10-minute routine or do whatever you want to get things done around the house. This is NOT the case because I couldn't hold it with my teeth, I just had to sit and do nothing but hold the device in my mouth so it wouldn't fall out. I also couldn't swallow while it was in which was very uncomfortable and it kept turning off after a 2 minute brushing cycle so I had to turn it back on. And there's nothing on the tray to keep your lips off the light, so you have to be careful your lips don't slide down and cover the mouthpiece, blocking the light from reaching your teeth. I only lasted 6 minutes before it became too uncomfortable to keep my mouth in my mouth and I had to take it out to swallow again. Especially at 100€ I can't recommend this device.
