This is the first pattern I have to say because it is a size sm medium l xl and has plenty of room in the size range as it has an elastic waistband. I made muslin for size and was able to make it out of cotton rather than stretch fabric. You can go down a size, but put on some muslin first if you're unsure. The instructions don't go straight, you go to the third step and go to step 4 in the instructions for the pants for the elastic. It was confusing at first. It would be better, if all the instructions for the skirts were together to continue the instructions numerically instead of saving paper by sending the instructions to the pants. It was a little confusing. A large skirt suggests a huge crease halfway down the leg. I love maxi skirts, but tights don't go with heavy clothing in the summer.
