I've had the beard version of the Nekmate for a few months now and wanted to try the back version too. Received the product yesterday and applied it straight away as the hair on the back of my neck was going crazy with all the shops being closed during the lockdown! Here's my honest take on it. PURPOSE: This fulfills its task absolutely successfully. It doesn't take long to reattach, and since the red attachment is long enough, you can see two ends, making it easy to tell if it's straight. Once installed, trimming is very easy and quick. It stays firmly in place, so all you have to do is follow the guard horizontally with the trimmer and the job is done in just a few strokes (make sure you're moving in both directions, up and down so you move against the fibers on both sides). CONSTRUCTION: It is well made of high quality silicone, so it is soft and durable. Because it's so flexible, it molds perfectly to your skin and doesn't move when it's in place. I also like how long the protection is, my head is quite big and I was afraid the shape might be too small. However, it is long enough to fit you no matter the size of your head. COMFORT: I find it comfortable. I've read some comments about the tightness of the tape but I find the tightness absolutely perfect for me and it really makes my shave very easy. You definitely don't want the shaving template to move while you're using a razor or trimmer in that area. To be honest I would give it 5 stars for its convenience. VALUE: This is a steal at this price. Considering how much hairdressers charge these days (if you can even find a hairdresser who's allowed to work!), it's so great that you can get your hair cut at home whenever you want. Great for kids too! In summary, I am very satisfied with my purchase and can only recommend this product. This is a must have if you want to cut your hair yourself or touch up your hair at home. If you don't go to the hairdresser every week, I sincerely think you should have one.
